“A day of Irish music and dance with Duncan Cameron, Jenny Melvin, Morgan Davison and local musicians for St Patrick’s”
Come and experience traditional Irish music & dance in a family-friendly community setting. Learn traditional céilí (“kaylee”) dancing with caller Lou Hayden, no experience or partner required! All welcome, suitable for all ages & abilities from 2-5pm.
Music workshops for a variety of instruments and Irish singing are available in the evening. Bring your own instruments from 7-9pm
Workshop A, 7-8pm; Tune learning with Jenny (fiddle or other melody instrument)
Workshop B, 7-8pm; Accompaniment with Duncan and Morgan (chord and percussion instruments)
Workshop C, 8-9pm: Irish singing with Morgan
Workshop D, 8-9pm; All instruments session. Moderate speed tunes to begin, followed by a regular tempo session. All welcome to participate or watch.
Craft table for the young at heart.
Cash bar.
Accessibility - there are stairs to front of building & to washrooms downstairs.
